Chocolate, Gift Cards, and Socks - NO WAY: Your HEALTHY Holiday Gift Guide

Dec 11, 2023

Ditch the chocolate, gift cards and socks this year. Instead add something health and fitness-related to your Christmas gift shopping list this holiday season –  You can’t go wrong when you’re helping a loved one exercise or improve their health.

Here are some of the sweetest treats I’m seeing this year.

  • Fitness Tracker. These monitor heart rates, tally your steps, and even measure your sleep. They’re available with a range of options and at various price points, so you should be able to find just the right one. Don't tell Mike, but I've bought him a Whoop Band for Christmas: https://shop.whoop.com/en-au/
  • Yoga Mat. Even if your giftee doesn’t do yoga, they’ll love having a fresh mat handy for floor exercises at home or while traveling.
  • Recipe Book. A healthy recipe book will encourage healthy habits all year round. My Clean Eating Recipe book is a favourite amongst my clients and is a great gift: Printed copy and e-books available: https://www.drandrearobertson.com/shop
  • Fitness Classes or Subscriptions. These can be to brick-and-mortars or to online services.
  • Massage Gun. There are models now small enough to fit in a purse, so relief is always handy!
  • Meditation Apps. Headspace and Calm are among the popular options to help people start or improve their practice.
  • Remember the Basics. You can’t go wrong with a water bottle or a new workout singlet. Talk about the perfect stocking stuffers!
  • Audible Subscription. “Reading” while exercising can be a fun way to multi-task.
  • Lunch Together. Find a restaurant that specialises in a style of cooking that intrigues you – maybe plant-based, or cuisine of a certain culture. You’ll probably pick up some health cooking tips to try at home.
  • Online Health Program. If you've been wanting to improve your health, ask your loved ones if they would support you to join an online program, such as my 12 week Nutrition/Mindset/Movement program for women over 35 to balance hormones, lose weight, keep it off and thrive again. This will be the gift that keeps on giving, as when you are healthy and well, you can give so much more to those you love. Shopping for health and fitness related gifts is always a blast because there’s so much cool stuff out there in every price range.

Happy shopping!
